Rumor of The Day

We’d like to think that we’ve done a pretty damn good job of staying away from the Mats Sundin circus (especially now that he’s visiting Toronto now), so you’ll permit us this one little indulgence. News out of Stockholm the other day quoted Sundin as saying that he won’t be making his mind up any time soon. In fact, the season will be well under way once he decides what to do.

Reports the Vancouver Sun:

Sundin told reporters in Stockholm on Wednesday he definitely won’t be deciding anything before the start of the regular season in October.

Sundin said: “That’s how I feel right now. Others have started playing in the middle of the season. If I would feel like retiring, I’d say it.”

Now here’s an interesting side-note. I’ve always kind of figured there’s been more to Sundin’s waffling than what’s on the surface, so I took it upon myself to take all of the investigative skills I’ve accumulated over a lifetime of watching Scooby-Doo and focus it towards getting to the truth of the matter. Two haunted houses and an abandoned mine later, it turns out that the name “Sundin” comes from the old Norse “Sonh-Deen”, which in literal translation means “Indecisive Vagina”. How about that? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I do believe I’ve earned myself a Scoobie-Snack.
