Rumor of the Day

Since we’re dabbling in NHL guys and their celebrity girlfriends, there’s no reason to ignore this one… Kate Hudson, who was married to some soap-challenged singer for some band, has been trying to condense a lifetime of dating into the last year or so. There was Owen Wilson, Heath Ledger, a bunch of other dudes, Lance Armstrong, and now, or so it appears, it’s Eric Lindros.

“Reports” the nauseatingly-named Sports Crackle Pop:

 Kate Hudson has dumped cyclist Lance Armstrong and already moved on with former boyfriend and NHL #1 pick Eric Lindros.This may be fact or fiction, but whatever the case it makes for good reading.

To still refer to Lindros as “NHL #1 pick” is being a bit generous to his legacy, me thinks… He hasn’t been number one anything in more than a wee while. Hell, even Kate Hudson didn’t draft him until her fifth or sixth round. I heard that when they first started dating some of her hair brushed against his forehead and he spent the next two weeks of their relationship with a concussion. So, yeah, keeping the hockey helmet on at all times would be a good idea.

 Update: Looks like the Lindros camp is saying that they are “just friends”. Apparently they have cottages near each other and bump into one another occasionally. I’m gonna go ahead and say this one was a close call. Considering what Owen Wilson did to himself, and how Heath Ledger ended up, Lindros is one lucky mofo.
