Eklund May Be Delusional

By some strange quirk of idiocy fate, we’re on Eklund’s mailing list. And last night we received this little turdy gem:

Last night I finally threw out the rumour that I was holding onto for the past month invovling two young guns being possibly swapped between the Oilers and Canadiens simply because I knew there would be an uproar. Well as always, once I put it out there and “certain other insiders” know I am tapped into a situation new information often follows.

“Your are right on this one Ek,” a source writes, “Two big time, arguably future all-star forwards are on the table, but there is more to it than that. Dig deeper and you will find another team is trying to snag the Montreal kid and may have a better package to offer.”

Based on what I have been told on and off the record, that is pretty surprising if true. The Edmonton player is a guy I would hold on to, so I have spent a great deal of time on the phone today digging…

When I first came across this my initial instinct was to punch something - So I did (Sorry honey, love ya!) The way he uses made up sources to high-five himself is just blatant masturbation. Then I realized that for all his bullshit Eklund actually shows a lot of restraint with his crap and that’s difficult when all you ever do is make up stories along with the “sources” that supply them. I gotta say, I don’t think I could keep it under control with all that power. I’d be quoting sources like the Loch Ness Monster and Chewbacca - I’d have GM’s giving me scoops over beers at a bar-b-q we all arrived at via jet pack…
