This one is pretty out there, but why the hell not pass it on?
In their search for a new head coach, can it be that the Ottawa Senators are turning to Tampa’s John Totorella? Ummm… doesn’t Fonzie already have a job?
The fine, fine folks at the Fourth Period report:
“Tortorella has one-year remaining on his contract with the Lightning worth $1.3 million, and his future with the Bolts has come in question.
It was reported that Tortorella suggested it might be time for him to step aside, but the veteran coach told a Tampa radio station he wants to stay and help the team regain its winning ways.
With new ownership in Tampa, Tortorella might not live out the rest of his contract.”
My dream would be for the Senators to both get Tortorella and keep Emery. The potential for post game sound bites alone has me giddy with anticipation.

Tortorella coaching a bunch of self-entitled a-holes? Yes, that could be very fun… I live in Ottawa, and hate the Sens (Rangers fan here), and I wish nothing but the best for the entertainment value of local media…

OMG, Fonzie and Emery together…talk about happy days! Sign Avery and the Sens would be my new favourite team (well, not really, but they’d be the most interesting). Oh yeah, please give us the name of this Rumor model..she’s the same one for the last few days, right?
