Penguins and Stars Are Not Bad

Seriously. Did anyone see this coming?
Last night both Pittsburgh and Dallas took 3-0 series leads on their opponents. Both the Rangers and Sharks (respectfully) are now looking at a disrespectful ending to their season by being swept.
And seeing as how only two teams have ever come back from 3-0 deficits in the history of the NHL, I think it may be safe to bid adieu to the two teams that were heavily favored to meet in the Stanley Cup final.
Of the two eventual losers, I only feel sorry for the Blueshirts… they are leading on the shot clock and seemingly playing with a lot of effort… The Sharks, on the other hand, are waiting for someone – anyone – to hand them a pass o the conference finals…
In other news, the Red Wings continue their obliteration of the Colorado Avalanche. We would have included them in the above story, but their dominance is as surprising as another Gene Simons sex tape. But way more fun to watch. Unless you’re a perv.
