Can the BlackHawks Do It? Seriously?
Email This Post
It happens every year…. one team beats the odds, runs the table and makes the playoffs despite all predictions. It wasn’t looking good for the Chicago Blackhawks, especially with 2 games left against the unstoppable Red Wings. Well one down, one to go. And then another after that…
From CP:
Blackhawks rookie Patrick Kane had a goal and two assists, and Chicago beat the Detroit Red Wings 6-2 on Wednesday night to keep its slim playoff hopes alive.
The Blackhawks, who won their third straight, must win their final two games to have any chance of reaching the post-season.
It’s also worth noting that Chicago had their 11th sellout of the season… I don’t want to go jumping to conclusions or anything, but I think that the unrivaled hotness of the Ice Crew is spurring fans, thereby spurring the Hawks themselves. Is anyone else thinking Stanley Cup here?
