Jay Feaster Needs Trust

In case you weren’t aware (like us), Jay Feaster has a blog over at The Hockey News. In his latest (and final) installment, he kind of rags on some other GMs for blabbing their asses off to the media…. hmmm…. who could he be talking about?

 ”A big issue for me is knowing whom you can trust and whom you can’t.

I know there are some managers in this league who go straight to the media when an email comes to them saying, ‘If you have any interest in this player…’ I know that email might as well be copied to TSN, which is not how I do business. The sooner you learn who you can have a confidential conversation with in this league and who you can trust, the better.”

I don’t really know which GMs Feaster is talking about, but does anyone else find it weird that he’s flipping off TSN with one hand while receiving a paycheck from The Hockey News? How does he expect to get a cushy “analyst” job on TSN once Tampa turfs him out? You gotta play nice with the media, Jay. Like John Ferguson Jr. and Mike Milbury, see? Those guys know which side their bread is bu— wait a second! …. I think I may have figured out which GMs he was talking about! I’m a goddamn detective!
