Rumor of the Day

Looks like Peter Forsberg will be making a decision on which NHL team he will play for sooner rather than later.

The smart money is saying that he will go back to Philadelphia, although Detroit, Vancouver and Colorado are said to be in the mix.

Says the Courrier Post:

 The Flyers’ bid to sign Peter Forsberg took an interesting turn Saturday when general manager Paul Holmgren revealed he is in Sweden on a scouting assignment.

The problem with Philly, however, is that they are tight against the salary cap. So they will need a decision from Forsberg within the next week or so if they want to make changes before the trade deadline.

We here at PuckThatHit welcome this rumor with open arms.  Especially given the way how certain veterans around the league took their sweet ass time to decide whether they were going to shit or get off the pot and come back to the game. I don’t want to name names, here, because I’m sure these players want to keep their selfish spectacles as low-key as possible.
